Strongest Armies
Understand strongest armies: what the measure counts, how to read it and where to check the source.
Military-strength rankings combine indicators rather than measuring the outcome of a real conflict. Equipment totals, budgets, geography and personnel each capture only part of capability. Training, readiness and alliances are harder to reduce to a number. Any composite index reflects its author's weights and should be read as a model, not a prediction.
