Most Immigration
Understand most immigration: what the measure counts, how to read it and where to check the source.
Migration has both a stock and a flow. The number of migrants living in a country describes a population at a particular date; arrivals during a year describe movement. Neither is the same as the net balance of arrivals and departures. Birthplace and citizenship can produce different definitions of a migrant, so comparisons need to keep that choice consistent.
