Most Financial Contribution to Research by GDP
Understand most financial contribution to research by gdp: what the measure counts, how to read it and where to check the source.
Research spending as a share of GDP measures the resources committed to research relative to the economy. It does not directly count discoveries. A smaller economy can devote a larger share while spending less money in total. Universities, businesses and government laboratories contribute differently across countries, so the total is best read alongside who funds and performs the work.
