The Least Religious People

Understand the least religious people: what the measure counts, how to read it and where to check the source.

Religious affiliation and religious practice are different things. A person may identify with a tradition without attending services or holding every belief associated with it. Totals also tell a different story from shares: a large country can have more members of a religion even when that religion is a minority. Changes over time need comparable definitions and dates.
