Least Deforestation
Understand least deforestation: what the measure counts, how to read it and where to check the source.
Tree-cover loss and deforestation are not interchangeable. A satellite may detect tree loss after fire or harvesting even if the land later regrows; deforestation usually refers to conversion away from forest. Gross loss also differs from net change after gains are included. Any ranking needs to identify both the time window and which of these changes it measures.
